Privacy Policy

1. What We Collect

When you sign up for NotVTT, we collect the information you provide through our authentication provider: your name and email address. We also collect the campaign content you create — NPCs, locations, items, quests, session notes, journal entries, lore, and combat data — because that is the entire point of the application.

2. How We Use Your Data

Your campaign data is yours. We use it exclusively to provide the NotVTT service: displaying your dashboard, searching your content, tracking your campaign history, and keeping everything in sync across your devices. We do not access, read, sell, or share your campaign content with anyone.

3. Authentication

NotVTT uses WorkOS (AuthKit) for account creation and sign-in. When you authenticate, WorkOS processes your login credentials and shares your name and email address with us. WorkOS has its own privacy policy governing how it handles your authentication data.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your campaign data is stored in a secured database and transmitted over encrypted connections. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. You should not store real-world sensitive personal information inside campaign notes or character sheets.

5. Cookies

NotVTT uses essential session cookies to keep you signed in and maintain your application state. We do not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or any third-party advertising technologies. The application does not display advertisements.

6. Third-Party Services

Apart from WorkOS for authentication, NotVTT does not share your data with any third-party services. Your campaign notes, world-building content, and session data stay inside the application.

7. Your Rights

You can export your campaign data and delete your account at any time through the application settings. Deleting your account permanently removes your personal information and campaign data from our systems.
